Summary
Mickey and Ian have somehow surprised themselves and hit the ground running when it comes to parenting their daughter. Mikayla Gallagher burst onto the scene and turned her parents' lives upside down but both Mickey and Ian are learning that maybe that's what they needed to truly find their ways.
Only problem is, now that they're completely on board with trying to add to their family again, things aren't exactly going as planned. Between getting Ian's business up and running and Mickey dealing with insecurities that really should have been hashed out years ago, it's looking like carving out the life they're both hoping for isn't as easy as they'd hoped.

Lan Wangji opened his mouth to respond, but suddenly someone else burst into the library.
It was Jiang Cheng.
Lan Xichen was astonished to find that his robes were soaked and his hair was mangled. He was taking in large gulps of air and there was a fierce scowl on his face as droplets of water dripped from his uniform to the floor.
Lan Xichen would’ve never verbally made a comparison between his husband and a water demon but-
“Wanyin-?”
“He pushed me into the Cold Springs!” Jiang Cheng yelled, glaring at Lan Wangji who pointedly avoided his gaze.
Both Lan Xichen and Wei Wuxian froze, looking back and forth between their brothers, waiting for Lan Wangji to refute Jiang Cheng’s claim, but a denial never came.
(5 instances where JC and LW make up a chaotic & petty pair...and somehow end up raising a turtle army (cult?) along the way.)

Somewhere in the room the clock ticks its second hour into the night. Wrapped up in his blankets, it's easy to let the harsh glow of his phone consume him, to pretend nothing exists outside of the microscopic, soft spotlight the screen projects onto his face; it's easy to eradicate the shadows of the past month lingering in his memory, especially when there hasn't been much distinction between each day and the thirty prior to it.
It's easy to let himself forget, just for a moment, that they haven't spoken in a month.
