Adar stares down at the infant in her arms. By all rights, he should hate her: this child of two of his greatest foes. These two, together, had ripped apart his heart and his family piece by bloody piece. Sauron the Deceiver and Galadriel, the Greatest Slayer of the Uruks had a daughter.
‘I should want her dead,’ he thinks as he looks at her, and he is surprised at how much he means it when he concludes: ’but I don't.’

“Have I not courted you for years now, Elf?” Sauron trailed two fingers over her cheek, pressed them gently at the hinge of her jaw. “Ah I see,” he added, observing every small change in her expression. “You desire the man. Let it never be said that I would deny you, my queen.”

Summary
It is 10,000 years since the fall of Sauron and the last of the elves had left Middle Earth for Valinor. Sauron was left as a spirit of malice, to never be able to reform. Galadriel, Elrond and Finrod are sent by the Valar to 1853 gold rush California, to confirm that Sauron has indeed entered a fair form and is up to his old tricks.

“When you denied an alliance with me, I found other means of quenching my thirst.”
“For violence and depravity?” she shot back.
“For vengeance,” he hissed. “Just as you sought yours. Keep your righteousness to yourself. I care not for it. These Men, these Númenóreans, fought against me in the Great War. Slew countless lives. With their pride and their arrogance in their mighty goodness. They thought they were better than the rest of us as you yourself believed you were better than me.” His voice dropped to a whisper. “I wanted to see them suffer. I have achieved so much more than that.”
Written for an anonymous tumblr prompt: During Ar-Pharazôn’s rule of Númenor when Sauron holds the position of the High Priest of Melkor, Galadriel is captured in the middle of a war, imprisoned, and handed over to him as a sacrifice to be made in the Temple of the High Priest, but Sauron has other plans. This is just how I imagined the dialogue between Sauron and Galadriel to continue if they didn't start screaming at the end.
