It started innocently enough. Oscar offered to buy her a drink, which led to several drinks, which turned into dancing and playful flirting on the dancefloor, George pressed close to his chest, giggling as he leaned up on his tiptoes to murmur in her ear.
She’s never been ashamed of her height. Sure, some of the drivers are insecure about it, but Oscar seems quite pleased where he is. It makes her feel powerful– how she towers over him, even taller in her heels.
She likes the feeling more than she should.

They kept things private out of necessity. Being public figures led them to living in the shadows, sneaking glances across the paddock, debriefing in hotel rooms, quiet moments stolen in the neverending schedule of the season. It was difficult at times, especially since Oscar was leading the championship now and Max was playing catch up after Red Bull got the car wrong.
