Mafioso’s face is kept neutral, but the twitch in his lips doesn’t go unnoticed by Chance. “Heads,” he simply responds.
“Tails it is for me then!” Chance grins. If all the past flips were tails, there’s no way he’ll lose this one.
“Please, please let it be tails,” Chance desperately begs in his head.
His hand uncovers the coin to reveal the answer..
“What’s the verdict?” Mafioso asks with a smirk.
“It’s heads.”
