It had seemed like a good idea at the time, but – and this, this at least, is something Liam should have expected of his life at this point – it all goes downhill a couple of months into their first year.
The first time he notices – really notices – any change, is when Theo’s cramming for his first minor exam, stressed and flustered and borderline panicked. Liam had spent twenty minutes trying to convince him Theo knew biology, that he had this, ‘you’ll nail it, Theo, stop stressing!’. It had worked for about two minutes –Theo’s shoulders losing the tension and dropping down to their normal height, the furrow between his brows smoothing out after days of being etched into his smooth skin – before Theo had groaned loudly and all but sprinted back into his room to continue cramming.

Dangerous characters from Theo’s past arrive in Beacon Hills and want him dead. Liam is seriously not okay with this plan; especially since they seem hell-bent on slaughtering a group of supernaturals along with him. The beta’s in charge while Scott is gone, and no way is this going down on his watch. But if Theo and Liam want to stop the assassins and not be consumed by the passion, blood, and darkness that surrounds them, they’re going to need each other.
Set after 6x16, but the Hunter situation is ignored/on hold. Contains dual perspectives that will switch throughout chapters. Eventual E (Trust me. I’ve written the chapter. It gets there.)
