Summary
Four years after the fall of Ba Sing Se, the world still mourns Katara as dead.
To the Fire Nation, Katara became just another casualty of war. To her friends, she is a ghost lost within the crystal catacombs of Ba Sing Se yet whispers have begun spreading across the Fire Nation of a spirit known as the Painted Lady, a veiled woman with ocean-blue eyes who appears in the moonlight to heal and protect those in need.
The war rages on as Ozai has crowned himself Phoenix King after Sotzin's comet, leaving Zuko to rule in his stead as Fire Lord while the Fire Nation tightens its grip across the remaining nations.
When Zuko is sent to investigate mysterious occurrences at a small fishing village, he finds himself face to face with the woman behind the legend. She moves like a memory he cannot escape.
