Summary
As part of a long-term espionage operation, the Chiss intelligence officer Mitth'ao'landiri lands a job at the Imperial Security Bureau. As they navigate Imperial politics and unrest in the galaxy, they begin to harbor doubts about the Empire as a potential ally to the Ascendancy. The arrival of their fellow Mitth family member, Thrawn, to Lesser Space should reinforce Thaolan's faith in the mission and dispel their misgivings about the Galactic Empire; however, Thrawn's presence only serves to make Thaolan more conflicted. Thaolan finds themself on a dangerous chessboard, forced to make increasingly more diffcult choices, all the while knowing that one wrong move could spell the end of not just their operation, but Thrawn's as well.

“Are you ill?” Asks Thundercracker.
“Are you high?” Asks Skywarp.
“I love it!” Starscream announces loudly. At this point even the garnered crowd is confused on whether to laugh or flee. “Paint my–” Starscream visibly shudders as he forces himself to keep speaking. “Paint my wings next!”
“By the Pits…” Thundercracker murmurs into his palms, mortification leaking from every seam in his frame. “I think he’s glitched.”
