That’s the caption of the Twitter link that Yoonchae sends to Megan halfway through the morning of their day off. Megan sits on the couch in her and Lara’s new apartment, eating crackers as she watches the video, stares at the caption, then scrolls down to the reposts and comments. Yoonchae probably hadn’t even looked at that — the rest of the comments are people using it in the context Megan understands it’s for, and it is very much not about geology.

"Let’s just get this over with. What flower do you want?"
"One of your favourites, please."
Sophia reaches down blindly, grabbing a stem from the bucket of roses at her feet. She usually gives them away as gifts, standing outside her shop and handing them to whoever walks past on slower days. She tries to rationalize that this is the exact same situation, except they’re indoors, and it’s only one person. Who refuses to leave her alone.
"There," Sophia tosses the rose onto the counter. It’s already wrapped in a thin plastic sheet, so at least she doesn’t have to do any additional prep. "It’s on the house. Happy Mother’s Day."
"I didn’t know you were so open about that, Sophia." Manon raises her eyebrows. "I mean, I’m not opposed to the whole mommy thing, I guess. You don’t have to give me a discount for—" Her eyes fall onto the chalkboard stake that sits in the bucket. "—two dollars. Okay, maybe that’s a little too low."
"The two dollars is to get you to shut up. Please leave."
(Or: Sophia is a florist, whose only qualm in her routine is sharing a block with a tattoo artist. The fact that she’s kind of attractive, and constantly flirting with her is no one’s business but her own.)

"I um, read that white tulips were good for apologies." Manon picks up the mini bouquet, pulling out a card from her back pocket. She slips it in between the stems, and hands it back in Sophia’s direction.
"I prepared a card, but now that I’m doing it I feel a little stupid." Manon is so cute. Sophia kind of wants to eat her whole right now, but that will definitely get her rating down. "Is it okay for me to give your own bouquet back to you?"
"Yes," Sophia laughs. This is so ridiculous. She wants to tease, but she’s pretty sure the woman behind Manon can only take so much before she turns homophobic. "Sure, Manon. Thank you."

“I guess I don’t necessarily need a roommate.” Daniela starts playing with her hair. “It’s just that my parents are kicking me out after the holidays, aha.” She laughs awkwardly, embarrassed. “They want me to get a job, said that the California laziness rubbed off on me, which I guess is fair.”
“No offense, but aren’t any of your other high school friends still around here? Like from dance?”
“You were my closest friend,” Daniela admits quietly. “I guess I’ll ask them if you say no, but you haven’t said no. I’d rather it be you.”

daniela’s parents are kicking her unemployed ass out, sophia has to spend the winter alone in her family’s cabin. it’s unfortunate that said cabin is haunted by their teenage ghosts who are gnawing at the bars of their enclosure and begging the current versions of themselves to get their shit together.
