Summary
Like most other people in the Underground, Mara wanted citizenship on the surface. She spent years dealing in the black market to pay off debts and secure her ticket–until the MPs shut her down. The next logical step was to become a hitman for rich, desperate bastards. She would have been an idiot not to take the last job when a man in a fancy suit showed up at her doorstep, promising enough money to make that dream happen.
If the Scouts hadn't anticipated her attack, she would've been a free woman. Instead, she ended up in their custody with Levi as her watcher and Erwin as her warden. Erwin gave her a choice: join the Scout Regiment and spy on the Order of the Walls, or face the Military Police. Safe to say, Mara was willing to put up with Levi rather than face the gallows. What she didn't expect to put up with was the tangled webs of conspiracy, titans, and children.

Summary
Natasha wasn't supposed to be home that night. She was supposed to be on a mission halfway across the world. If Steve had known her plans had changed, he never would have brought Bucky into their apartment, dripping blood across the hardwood floors. If Steve had known, he would have taken him the extra few miles back to the bank instead of letting Nat stitch him up.
If he had taken Bucky across the city, then things might have turned out differently for them.
For the two years after the Battle of New York, Natasha and Steve shared a home, missions, and life plans together. Natasha made breakfast on Sunday mornings when they were both home. Steve bought her flowers before the last bouquet could wither on the kitchen counter. She thought she knew the man she shared a bed with, shared her secrets with, only to realize he may have never existed in the first place.

Summary
Project Siren was initiated in 1948 by Department X. The brightest minds of the Red Room and HYDRA were forced to collaborate and create the next best thing since the Winter Soldier, better than any Black Widow had ever been. Project Siren remained operational until 2016.
The Siren trained the Black Widow to be ruthless. She fought alongside the Winter Soldier in every operational theater imaginable. Killed enough men, women, and children over the decades to be classified as a serial murderer. Helped to mold her own children into weapons.
Yekaterina Kotova protected Natalia Romanova the only way she knew how. Katya loved James Barnes through shared cigarettes and quiet conversations in English. Kotova gave her last surviving daughter freedom after a life of pain. She started killing to protect the ones she loved instead of killing for the job.
The Chair was supposed to kill Katya. The trigger words were supposed to force her into submission. The brainwashing was supposed to make her loyal.
After finding freedom at the hands of Yelena, Katya wants peace of mind in the form of revenge and self-imposed isolation.
The Siren never died with the project. She only stopped taking orders.

Summary
When the Winter Soldier shot Nick Fury in his apartment, the world pulled the rug out from under Steve Rogers's feet. Luckily for him, he had Natasha Romanoff on his side. Unfortunately for Natasha, Steve complicated things.
The things he complicated weren't operational–he was too competent for that. He complicated everything else.

Summary
Your mind is lucid and your objective is clear.
Infiltrate the ruling famiglia of this city as an errand boy. Advance the strict mafia hierarchy until you have access to the higher-ranking members. Assassinate Don Massimo Moretti and make sure everyone else who participated in the massacre of your family eleven years ago goes down with their Godfather.
And if at all possible, find out why the man with cold, grey eyes allowed you to keep your life.

Summary
Yelena was laughing. That was the first thing Bucky noticed when he walked into the kitchen that morning.
That raspy sound of joy that Bucky had only heard once before—at Walker’s expense when he tripped and fell over Bob’s pile of recently purchased books sitting on the living room floor. Yelena, who’d been cautiously hovering in the tower for a week, unsure whether she should be there (as an Avenger, no less.) had doubled over and wheezed over the kitchen counter as Walker made an incredibly undignified sound when he hit the polished floor.

Summary
“Come on,” Steve teased. “Are you really telling us you’d rather go into battle against an army of Hydra operatives than stay here with her?”
“Yes!” Sam said instantly. “No one in their right mind babysits an assassin.”
“You’re not babysitting her,” Steve said. “You’re guarding her. Like a prison warden.”
“That does not make it better.”
(Natasha's sick. Sam's in charge of taking care of her. He fears the worst. It goes way better than planned.)

Summary
But no, yes, the Punisher. In her apartment. Staring at her with an unfazed expression on his face. Even from the doorway, she can see the white skull painted on his chest-piece.
And this is somehow so normal for her, at this stage of her life, that she honestly takes one look at Frank, at the bruises on his face, at all his gear spread around her apartment, and says, “Okay. It’s 11:07. I haven’t eaten yet. I’m going to order some dim sum from the corner and you are not going to get any of that gun oil on my bed.”

Summary
“Is this okay?” she asks, the question just a murmur in the dark.
“You’re already close enough to hurt me,” Frank says finally, after chewing on the thought for a long moment. “So hurt me.”
