In an instant, the song picked up pace and became almost frantic. The instrumental swooped dramatically with blaring horns and furious shamisen plucking and out-of-control drumbeats and high vibrating sounds that Rion couldn’t even place. She gasped, a flush of elation rising to her face as she spun faster with the music.
“H-hey!” Nemu cried, her fluff-covered metal fingers gripping at the straps of Rion’s bodysuit. “Slow it down, woul–eep!”

Tone Rion and her cousin/robo-friend (it’s complicated) Yumemi Nemu are universe-hopping, world-exploring, boundary-breaking badasses! They are also a stupid cafe maid and her shitty babysitter, respectively. The universe they’re in now is all vivid color and pulsing noise, a constant performance.
