Red was a rational guy who thought things through. He weighed the pros and cons of everything before committing. He wasn't prone to acting on impulse. Nearly everything he did was planned beforehand, and was thought through meticulously to predict the best outcome.
So he was clueless as to why he had very impulsively decided to grab Purple's hand.

Right. Aang had forgotten about that.
“Well, there are plenty of coffee shops that sell tea” He reasoned a bit defensively.
“But this isn’t a coffee shop. It’s a tea shop.” This guy looked two seconds away from strangling him. “So, no. We don’t sell that here.”
Or, after having to move across town to live with his uncle, Aang finds solace in a cozy tea shop where he befriends a peculiar group of people.

Sokka has shared an apartment with Aang for three years: easy, uncomplicated, like a pair of mismatched slippers.
Then Aang moves in with Katara, and Sokka finds himself roommates with another friend- Zuko: poli-sci and history major, professional scowler, hair that falls past his shoulders like a spill of ink and marble white skin to rival the statue of David.
The wall between their bedrooms is laughably thin. Sokka learns this the hard way.
