That's what Checo told himself as he forced himself to balance work, school, mental stability, meals, sleep, rent money, and whatever else there was to survive in a city that didn't love him back. Somewhere in that equation, a romance begins, causing Checo to reevaluate what really matters in this world.
Max had all his pieces in place. A position as a wealth management consultant with a steady rhythm of clients, meetings, and outings. How could a humble little flower shop change so much in so little time?
A story about how a man falls in love during his morning commute and the efforts he took to do something about it.

Summary
Charles loses a bet and is dared to get Lewis, seven time world champion and certified loner, to go out on a date- a proper date -with him. Given that they’re going to be teammates next year, Charles knows he has to tread carefully but surely a fun guy like Lewis will just laugh it off. The last thing he expected was for Lewis to actually fall for him, much less the reverse.
Subplot: Checo sees Max spending a lot of time with Fernando and, as one does, assumes the two of them are dating. Unaware that Max is getting Spanish lessons from the Spaniard to charm him, Checo asks him if they're going out and Max, in a panic, says yes. Now he has to win Checo back.
