Ever since the tragedy, Akaashi has lived his days on repeat, sticking to the same routine. Living in agony and learning how to survive his endless pain. For years, he has not made any effort to revisit the past and forgive his "wrongs" or even allow himself to grieve properly.
Bokuto's wild and carefree personality is what disrupts Akaashi's life. Bokuto is in a rock band with his best friends. The first song Akaashi hears them play changes everything for him. After being reminded of his legendary father, Akaashi slowly finds himself gravitating towards the beautiful melody of music. Akaashi learns many things because of Bokuto. How to accept music again, forgive himself, and love.
But what if he becomes lost again? What if the past revisits? What if the people closest to him hurt him? What if the true disruption… is him?
It's an endless cycle of agony for Akaashi. Overcoming all of it is his unspoken challenge.

He had sharp golden eyes, a strong jaw and a small scar that cut through his left eyebrow that somehow made him more interesting to look at. His face was smudged with streaks of grease, his hair was slightly mussed, and he was looking at Akaashi with an expression that could only be described as scathing.
Bordering on annoyed.
Akaashi felt his stomach twist tighter.
Perhaps, just this once, Hajime was right. Maybe this was a mistake.
In a small town that never forgets, the Bokuto and Iwaizumi families have spent years pretending the past is settled by never speaking of it at all. The room starts to tilt a little, and Keiji wonders how much of it he can blame on his exhaustion. He blinks a few times in an effort to reorient himself, then carefully pushes his glasses further up his nose and says, “I don’t know. It would have never worked out in high school, then there was university and our careers to contend with. I’m busy, you’re busier. The timing just hasn’t been right, I guess.”
“Then we should make time.”
After fifteen years of friendship, Bokuto and Akaashi go on vacation.
