The jolt throws her neck back against the cushion, causing Yu to whiplash and a pounding ache on the crown of her head. Though they’ve stopped falling, she knows instantly that they’re sinking. A glance at the glass latch at the top gives her a glancing view of the sunlit surface becoming dimmer and dimmer the farther they sink.

Summary
Hello and welcome to Femslash February 2022! This is my second year participating in this challenge, so i'm very excited to have another go at it!

I'm going to be writing a short ficlet everyday (as much as i can keep up) for each day of february, for the prompts that i'm interested in. if i don't upload everyday, or if i miss a day or three, i'll try my best to catch up. thank you and i hope you enjoy this as much as i will!

Collei finally gathers up the courage to run away. Years of seclusion, a sheltered life- and she's done with it. This is her chance at freedom; to see what's out there, to meet her first friends and make her own first choices-
But her bus crashes, and the sky shifts, and suddenly- all she can do is stick close to the man with a shotgun as they survive their way through the hellscape their world has become.

“It– It’s an emergency,” Amir finally manages, doing absolutely nothing to soothe Tighnari’s fear. Just what is the emergency? It— “Collei.”
Cyno’s expression completely shifts in a matter of seconds. From something gentle and concerned to absolutely nothing at all. He squares his jaw, eyebrows leveling, and sets his shoulders back. He’s prepared to be the General Mahamatra. “What of her?”
“Collei,” Amir repeats, wiping the sweat off of his face with the back of his sleeve. Tighnari forces himself to take a deep breath, in and out. “She–she’s gone.”
The world stops. His throat is dry, much too dry. Perhaps he’d stumbled into the desert, and started hallucinating, because he must not have heard Amir properly, there’s no way.
...
OR: An overeager Fatui scientist desperate for The Doctor's approval sets to complete an unfinished experiment of his. Not if Tighnari and Cyno have any say in the matter.

Summary
Collei spent the majority of her life in fear. Before Mondstadt—before the first time someone showed her kindness—fear was an unstoppable force and she was no immovable object.
But that was then and this is now, and Collei doesn’t want to live in fear anymore.
She takes her first step forward by inviting Cyno over for dinner.
(Or: the one where Collei strives to overcome her fear of Cyno, and they become a family out of it.)

She’d watched as Cyno had pulled the hefty pouch of mora from beneath his cloak and tipped a small mountain up onto the counter for the Guesthouse staff to count.
Collei’s never seen that much money in her entire life. Admittedly she hasn’t lived long, thirteen pitifully short years, but she’s old enough to know someone only has that sort of money if they’re important.
Cyno doesn’t seem all that important.
Cyno takes Collei all the way from Mondstadt to Sumeru, making a few stops along the way. Collei finds a home in the space he digs out for her in his life.
