Summary
Kevin wasn’t used to thinking about his feelings, much less talking about them. Previously, he had no time to dwell on something as trivial as human emotions, when there were games to win and horrors to survive. Not even the familiar taste of alcohol on his tongue seems to be able to attenuate them anymore.
Aaron is up pretty early, more usually than not, not by choice. His nightmares keep him up most nights, afraid for the future he worked so hard for, but might not be able to have anymore. Aaron doesn’t know how to be vulnerable, he doesn’t know how to ask for help, much less does he know how to be this person everyone believes him to be.
Kevin and Aaron try to navigate their lives post-canon events and end up drifting closer than they ever thought possible, finding comfort in each other’s presence.
