Summary
What if Bradley had reacted differently to Maverick (and Iceman) pulling his Academy application?
He was an angry, hormonally turbulent and depressed teenager who had lost his biological parents and had just been betrayed by the people who were the second set of parents to him – the only real living family he had left.
He could always have reacted even worse.
So resentful and furious Bradley made anonymous reports about them being gay to the Navy, in a vengeful moment thinking that "it's only fair, that if they took the Navy from him, he would take the Navy from them".
Because of DADT, they end up being honorably discharged. (They had just enough connection to have it be normal resignation, not dishonorable discharge. At least officially.)
This is the story of forgiveness, starting over and rebuilding family after both sides stabbed each other in the back. (Even if Bradley used a rusty knife dipped in poison.)

Summary
AU where fem!Maverick and Goose never were iconic Pilot and RIO duo. They didn't even meet until they had one night stand in 1988 in Las Vegas. (That resulted in an accidental pregnancy.)
AKA. AU where Maverick was born a girl, and United States Air Force Academy (first) sexual assault scandal happened in 1978. So when Petra Mitchell applied to the Air Force Academy besides USNA just to be safe, they were so low on quality female candidates that they were actually willing to overlook her father's reputation. Since USNA wasn't, Petra Mitchell joined the Air Force.
She became the U.S. Air Force's first female fighter pilot. She even ended up being the second ever female WIC instructor in Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
Nick "Goose" Bradshaw left the Navy after he had to stop flying when in 1986 he ended up with a permanent limp. His Pilot, Cougar suffered a severe panic attack unable to safely land, and crashed their F-14. He started working as a photographer. When his wife Carole died from cancer less than two years later, he moved to live with his parents in Las Vegas, to have them help him with Bradley more.
AKA. fem!Maverick, Goose and Baby Goose speed run becoming a "normal" nuclear family.

Summary

So drunk Bradley attempts to commit suicide by drowning after his papers were pulled, and Mav then tries to deal with the aftermath of the incident.
(AKA. sad speed run of Bradley (not yet "Rooster") Bradshaw and Pete "Maverick" Mitchell reconciliation, but with happy ending!)

Summary
An alternate universe in which Daniel did not die, but two years later Philip, Margaret and Philip’s sister, Gertie, were killed in a car crash. So suddenly, the only family left to the three Buckley siblings was Margaret’s younger brother, with whom she had no contact, Pete Mitchell – whom they had never met or even knew existed (because it's canon, that Margaret has no qualms about ‘erasing’ family members).
In other words: an alternative reality where Margaret Buckley's maiden name was Mitchell, and her father was Daniel "Duke" Mitchell.
(AKA. AU where somehow Penny and Mav get their shit together earlier and raise Maddie, Bradley, Daniel and Evan (plus Amelia later) together.)
(AKA. Giving Buckley's siblings happier childhood, and avoiding Mav and Bradley years long fight, since Penny won't allow for any paper pulling drama on her watch)

Summary
AU, in which, during their first year at the naval academy, Jake and Bradley are involved in a car crash, but Bradley DOESN'T lose his memory and believes he is still eighteen (before the whole papers drama).
Yet Jake is a noisy little shit in the hospital and somehow this accident still led to him being adopted by living legends of the Navy.
(Or, according to Bradley, that December when Jake first tried to kill him and then he shamelessly ‘stole’ his parents from him!
