Summary
Midoriya Izuku absolutely hated his life. He was diagnosed Quirkless at 4 years old, his mother died a few years later, and he grew up in the foster care system.
One moment he had been doing super fine as an underpaid employee at a convenience store to make money in case no one finds any interest in him within the next four years, and the next, he's being told to pack his bags by his admittedly distanced social worker, who drove him to a shady apartment building and got him settled with the grumpy, unshaven man that lived there.
. . .
Aizawa Shouta had always wanted to be a dad, and finally got approved for fostering.
But, the child put under his care was a Quirkless, Anti-Hero, passive aggressive little maniac, but Shouta really wasn't surprised. He just had to get the kid to trust him.

Summary
Izuku starts working at a cat café at the age of 12, a year after Inko dies. This café is a popular spot for UA staff and students alike. Izuku being the cinnamon roll that he is, wins the heart of (most) all who enter. The LOV notice the close ties he has with class 1-A, and they become really inconvenient for Izuku's work life. Aizawa sees an opportunity to adopt a stray.

Aizawa Shouta prided himself on being observant.
It was a big part of being an underground hero, for one, so he had honed his observation skills through lots of time and life-or-death situations.
So when he noticed his resident problem child, Midoriya Izuku, acting strange in class, he began to pay a little more attention to him. He kept his eye out for any red-flags that could indicate something was going on. And he curses himself now, because there are... a lot. Something was going on with his student, and he was going to figure it out.
