Summary
The second time Tooru had met Hajime, he had been five, and Hajime had made fun of the ruffles lining the ends of Tooru's sleeves. Tooru had been miserable already, sick from the boat over, hot and stiff in the formal clothes his mother had forced his arms through. It had been fun to force Hajime's face into the dirt outside the stables, even if retaliation had been swift and unmerciful. When their parents had finally come looking for them, it was to find the both of them mud-covered and screaming, Tooru's formal clothes ripping at the seams, one of Hajime's shoes missing.
Tooru's mother had been the first to laugh.
“Well,” she had said, bundling a still squirming Tooru into her arms, futilely trying to wipe the dirt away from his eyes. “I guess they'll have to grow on each other.”
Still, on and on, as the summers passed, neither Tooru nor Hajime showed that they took to growing well. Like an invasive species, Tooru had rolled through Hajime's grounds wreaking havoc, sent back home after four months, only to be shipped off again once summer came back around.

Sakusa likes staying on his lane. He's comfortable in the comfort of his safe zone.
But lying under Atsumu as the setter is about to fuck the life out of him just ruins the bubble of familiarity he surrounds himself with.

Summary
“Where did that little rascal go this time?”
Kiyoomi almost sighed.
Of course. This must be Osamu’s kid. She did look an auful lot like him after all.
“Ari!” Osamu called, half-exasperated, half-relieved. “What did I say about runnin’ off?”
The little girl’s eyes glistened with unshed tears. She nudged Kiyoomi again, tiny fingers pressing against his arm like a plea: Do something. Save me.
And for reasons he didn’t fully understand, Kiyoomi’s lips curved into a reluctant smile as he lifted her into his lap. “I caught your little stray, Osamu-san,” he said evenly, though his chest warmed unexpectedly, an odd flutter he couldn’t name.
Osamu chuckled as he approached, shaking his head. “She’s a handful.”
“Just like her dad,” Suna added with a smirk.
“Yeah… of course, Atsumu’s child would be the devil’s spawn, just like him,” Osamu added with a resigned sigh.
The words landed like a hammer against Kiyoomi’s chest.

Summary
Akaashi had never - not once - doubted Bokuto.
From the very beginning at Fukurodani Academy, when Bokuto Koutarou first crashed into his life with wild silver hair and louder-than-life confidence, trust had come as naturally as breathing. They had been high school sweethearts in the most unassuming way: shared lunches in quiet corners of the gym, fingertips brushing beneath the net after practice, long evenings spent studying that dissolved into soft laughter and softer kisses.
Bokuto had found his place in Osaka.Trust wasn’t fragile between them.
And no distance - no teammate - could undo that.
You can imagine, then, Akaashi’s surprise the first time he truly saw it.

Summary
“Akashi! Thank you! I would have been totally screwed without your help.”
“It’s…” Keiji starts to correct him, then realizes it isn’t worth the effort. There’s no point dragging out a conversation with someone he knows he’s never going to see again. He gives the patron a small nod and says, “It’s fine. I’m just doing the job they pay me to do.”
“And now I know who to ask for the next time I come in!” The patron grins at him, hands resting proudly on his hips, and Keiji takes another half-step back. “Bokuto Koutarou, by the way.”
“Okay.”
