Summary
As the morning light spread further across the room with the sun's shift, a sense of calm overtook Fujino’s mind. There was no point in running away or hiding at this stage of life. The bed with its rumpled, messy sheets, the toys scattered around the room, the photos of happy moments on shelves and walls, the sketches, drafts, and volumes of her manga and oneshots written together, the shelf filled with clippings from magazines and newspapers celebrating the awards “Kyo Fujino” had won over the years — everything felt so natural. Deep down, Fujino knew that everything was where it was meant to be, including her.

She closed her eyes and tilted her head slightly to the left, and he followed her lead, their mouths meeting in the middle. The kiss was tender, a soft connection that seemed to erase all the tension in his body. Nika’s lips were slightly swollen from the earlier fight, and the faint taste of iron lingered. The taste only made Damian’s mind boil. He could feel the urge to punish the bastard who had dared to hurt his beautiful girlfriend, but at the same time, he knew Nika wouldn’t let an opponent get away unscathed. She was fierce, strong, and resilient, just like him.
