"Talk to me already," Izuku begs, voice weighed with exhaustion like he had just run a marathon. "Just what exactly are you achieving by keeping this up? Right now and right here of all places?" he half-yells through the cacophonous gusts of wind.
A white-hot flash of anger pulses in Katsuki's vision.
He storms up to Izuku to jab a finger into his coat. "Don't you dare talk about appropriate time and places when your ass is lugging a dead fucking body with us while we're stranded in the middle of goddamn nowhere!"
As if on cue, his eyes are dragged to the rope held in Izuku's gloved hand, leading to the motionless figure hidden beneath a black sleeping bag, concealed and tied with rope.

It’s only then when Izuku notices that they’re sitting in the forefront of a background image. It's a clip of Pro Hero Dynamight speaking into the mic in the field of his latest battle after seizing victory. The camera hastily zooms in closer to his neck where a smudge of purple blossoms on his skin, stark and glistening under sweat.
Izuku’s spoon that he had half-way brought up to his mouth clatters onto his plate.
The voices of the women dulls out. Vaguely, he can feel his jaw unlatch, a punch to his stomach that forces out an exhale that almost sounds like an “oh”.

Summary
Izuku pauses, wanting to take the time to make sure he says the right words. It’s nothing new to him, he already knows how much Katsuki’s changed over the years, he wears the same vicious grins in the face of death and blasts the same devouring waves of flames and sparks, if not even stronger.
But he’s no longer reduced to words that bleed with acid and eyes that shrink with disgust. He no longer cloaks himself with cold shadows or spits daggers, uncaring of who it cuts into.
He’s so, so, so much more and Izuku’s entire being swells up with pride at that.
