"And I," Ren took a breath, she could feel how warm her cheeks were, "I don't want someone of your caliber to waste their talents." Chisato's playful smile flickered before snapping right back into place. If Ren wasn't looking at her so intensely, she would've never seen it.
"I wouldn't say I'd be wasting anything," Chisato broke her gaze with Ren, choosing to stare at the floor, "Kanon and the others are talented all on their own."
"I-I'm, I'm sure they have their own… talents. But you're," Something special. Special to me. "different."

Hazuki Ren had never felt this stressed out in her life.
Okay, that was a slight exaggeration. But, it was abnormal for her to be this level anxious before what looked like just another dance recital. Ren rubbed her sweaty hands on her skirt. There, laying carefully placed on the vanity table, was the true source of her anxiety.
A bouquet of flowers paired with a small note card tucked between the petals.
Or, Chisato gets Ren flowers to wish her luck before her dance recital, neither of them know how to deal with it.

Chisato slapped her hand over her mouth almost comically. She felt the weight of four pairs of eyes pile on top of her as silence swallowed the room.
