“Long day?” the ticket inspector asks with an amused chuckle, gesturing to Felix. He’s lingering. Fuck.
“Ah, yeah, we were at our friends’ place all day. A little too much wine, y’know how it is,” Chan laughs nervously.
“I get that, my wife’s the same. Won’t stop clinging to me when she’s a little tipsy, like an adorable koala. You get her home safe.”
Chan and Felix are on a train home, with a little too much time left to go and Felix is getting needier by the minute.
