Since Herbert and Dan met 5 years ago, they have never gone more than a day without seeing each other. In fact, they’re so close, it had driven them to insanity multiple times; the only thing worse than that is being apart.

It felt good to be tended to, despite the clinical precision of Herbert’s contact. Dan couldn’t even feel the warmth of his hands underneath the cold, rubbery gloves and he so badly wished Herbert could take them off. Maybe one day, when Dan is finally falling apart at the seams and Herbert is too old to give a shit he’ll take them off when he freshens Dan up.
