Itadori takes his hand, cupping it at first, before taking a chance and entwining their fingers. His palm is cold, but it's not a bad feeling. It doesn't make Megumi feel better, but it's enough for him to remember how to breathe knowing Itadori is there. The contact grounds him, giving him something solid to hold onto.

Megumi squints his eyes as he reads the text, do I think what? Confusion washes over him as he tries to think about what Yuji was referring to. He rereads the texts and feels the horror sink in as he realises. He just accidentally called him cute. Yuji thinks he called him cute. Megumi stares at his phone for a beat and wonders how he's going to explain himself out of this. Because it's not like he was lying, Yuji was definitely cute, - objectively so - he was probably one of the cutest people Megumi's ever seen. From his youthful features, to his inviting smile, his warm and loving 'best friend energy', and his shockingly toned body, he was downright beautiful in every aspect, really.
