Summary
If one suspects strangers of causing the apocalypse, one generally should not allow them to continue to roam free. They should ideally be restrained until their innocence (or guilt) can be proven. Even if one of them is a child and openly sobbing at the thought of her only family hating her. Even if the other one's absence is probably going to be noticed by a very large, very dangerous Pokémon.
Elsewhere, the rift spits out a man in white. He's not her Warden, but Sneasler will take all the help she can get in finding him.

You set your glass down, your eyebrows furrowing. “Go ahead.” You’re still wrapped up in him, holding onto his hand, his arm wrapped around your waist. Emmet wonders about pulling you onto his lap.
“Do you want to fuck?” The words are too direct- too serious. Your eyebrows practically skyrocket, and his face burns. He continues, blustering through, full steam ahead, “That was too much. I meant it, as in, would you ever consider it. Have you ever thought about it? Sleeping with me. Instead of having to use those dating apps.”

Emmet turned his head and locked eyes with you, and you balked.
Emmet made a combeeline for you, and you panicked.
