Bakugou Katsuki is six the first time he hears his mom say it.
“He’ll never be a good father. Or a good husband. Throw out being a good human being.”
It was supposed to be said quietly, to his father, as he walked away towards his room. The school had called again, ratting him out for “bullying.” Whatever. He didn’t care.
“Dear, he’s only six years old,” Masaru replied, a sigh in his voice. Bakugou had stopped walking to listen to their conversation. “Give him some time.”
Katsuki heard his mom “hmph” before turning back to the dishes. When he realized they were done, he continued his silent walk to his room.
And he couldn’t understand why, as he curled up in the sheets to sleep, why his heart hurt.

If the public knew of their relationship, how it didn't fit nicely into neither platonic nor romantic, they would have a field day. Eijirou could see the articles now, how he'd somehow trapped Katsuki into marriage and was secretly miserable, that their love for each other wasn't real, and how this was just another way Eijirou was a fake person. All it took was one slip up. A single comment in an interview or for a fan to point something out that was too close to the truth. Neither were ashamed of their relationship, their sexuality, nor romantic preferences, just that it wasn't the public's business how Eijirou and Katsuki lived their personal lives, if it comes out that they'd kept their marriage a secret for years, how would that be spun? Would it ruin Katsuki's career? Why couldn't Eijirou just be normal and loved like everyone else did? Why did he have to be so weird with his rules and his instance of a queer platonic relationship? Was he secretly making Katsuki miserable this whole time but didn't want to deal with the fallout to say anything? That didn't sound like Katsuki but still, what if it was the truth?

Early thirties, recently broken up with, and mildly depressed. After eight years, Katsuki is gone, and the only things he left behind are a massive void in my heart, and a kitchen that I now have to learn how to use myself. Spoiler: Everything is burnt and absolutely anything can catch fire.
Being an invisible hero was always the plan, but it turns out the only thing harder than stopping villains is dodging the fact that my ex is still ungodly attractive, the Number One Hero, and currently refusing to read the "we are broken up" memo.
Chapters past 3 are one-shots sitting in the same universe as Having Your Cake (And Eating It, Too).
Have you ever almost burned down Katsuki’s kitchen? No, me neither… that would be silly. Have you ever brought home a kitten to the house of the formerly named Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight? No, no. NO. I totally wouldn't do that either.
