    Frodo thinks he knows himself very well. He's committed to being just like his uncle: wise, strange, and unattached. Though, the company of his gardener and closest friend is always welcome. Frodo tries not to think too deeply about why that is.

    Sam does know himself very well. He's accepted that he and Frodo are just too different in status for anything to happen between them. He's not even so sure that they're officially friends.

    Bilbo, as always, knows more than he should. He finds the whole thing very funny.

    “I’d say this is getting weird, but honestly it sailed past weird a month ago."

    In which Frodo has a small (small!) crush on an employee in his local flower shop and Merry is an excellent wingman, thank you very much.
