There was a prolonged moment where they just stared at each other, and Michelle wasn't thinking about anything else. The music, the people, stupid fucking Charity. It was just Willow and Michelle, as it always had been.
Eventually, Willow sighed, giving into Michelle's demands as she always seemed to do - as Michelle always did for her. "Okay, Mimi. I won't call her."

Four times Michelle pleaded for Willow to say no, one life-altering conversation, and one time she pleaded for Willow to say yes.

Summary
Silence encompassed the graveyard. Vecna had nothing to say. No order to give. No whisper in Will's mind, ricocheting against the caged walls. It was just this - a gun and a crowd and Mike and Will.
"Will," Mike changed his tune again, his voice softening out until it rang like chimes in the wind, dancing its way through the silence, "come back to me."
Will's breath stuttered, and he blinked over at Mike, something deep and intrinsic and familiar pulling his gaze in that direction. Mike seemed relieved all at once, dry eyes welling up once more. He stepped forward, closer to Will, a dim candle springing to life.
"Will," Vecna imposed, snuffing the light out, "pull the trigger."

"I'm sorry."
His voice came out croaky and wobbly. He couldn't stand the sound of his own voice. He couldn't stand to hear the desperation and shame and guilt seeping from his words.
This time, it was Mike whose features tugged into a frown, his other hand situating itself on Will's free cheek as he shook his head. "Don't. Don't be. Will, hey, look at me, baby. You have nothing to be sorry for, okay? Nothing at all."
Will stared into Mike's imploring eyes and chose, for once, not to believe him.

"Stiles." His voice came out gruff, lower than usual, "If everything is too loud and you can't find a place to be safe, come and find me. I will be your quiet."
For once, Stiles had nothing to say. He felt his heart speed up, felt his mouth gaping like a fish. Derek's hand was still gripping his wrist - it felt like a lifeline. An anchor, keeping him grounded.
"I will." He replied eventually. He wasn't sure if he was intending to stick to that or not, but he vowed to at least try. "Thank you, Derek." They could both hear the words that were going unspoken, the 'and not just for the ride'. He didn't need to say it.

"It's why I'm so," He waved his hands around as if to explain his tendencies, "I guess her methods have just stuck with me all this time. Sometimes it feels like if I can't be beautiful, I won't be worth anything to anyone. Mother says it's all I'm good for." He whispered the last parts, ashamed of breathing the words aloud.
"Fucking hell." Remus spat out, and it sounded as though he was gritting his teeth. Sirius tensed once more, before attempting to remedy the situation.
"I know it's stupid," He rushed out. His throat felt like it was tightening around his words. "And I've tried to stop it-,"
"Sirius. Breathe. No one's mad at you." James said softly, reaching for his hand and squeezing it when he felt it shaking.
Or how Sirius copes with escaping the clutches of his mother's drive for beauty. The moments of pain are required to overcome the darkness.

Summary
The Paladin fell silent for a moment. “But tell me one thing. How is it possible that in this world, young Michael is not in love with you? I assumed we would be soulmates in every realm.”
That question was a sharp knife to Will’s heart. How could he possibly know? It wasn’t something he could control or change. Of course, there were times when Will had held some hope for reciprocity, but eventually, all his dreams had simply fallen apart. Mike had a girlfriend. Mike wasn’t a mistake like him.
“I don’t know…” Will whispered.
“Maybe his heart is sleeping,” the Paladin said. “You must wake him with your touch. Take his hand and speak with your heart.”
The one where Will accidentally summons a Paladin version of Mike, and learns that true soulmates can speak through the touch of their hands.

“They are wolves, Derek, wolves!”
“I know.”
“They—” Stiles choked and focused his gaze on the alpha. “W-what?”
Amidst the rubble, the groaning building, the wailing, and the scent of burning metal, Derek looked calm. The alpha ascended one step, closer to Stiles. “My love, listen to me—”
“What is going on?” Stiles’ throat dried.
“I said, listen.”
The omega’s mouth clamped shut, his lips trembling. The muscles in Derek’s jaw bulged as if he struggled to stay still.
“I am taking you hostage.”
Stiles’ chest stilled. His lips parted. He went completely stiff, watching Derek’s lips move, but the words made no sense.
“Derek…” he murmured hoarsely, shaking his head. “What…”
“I am not going to hurt you.” Derek’s voice went hard as steel. He spread his arms as if showing the lack of armor. “But you are coming with me. It is an order. Do you understand me?”
Stiles shifted his gaze from his mouth to his eyes and flinched back.
They were red. Burgundy, like the blood splatters marring his face.
And just like that, everything became clear.

“Someone’s ahead of herself,” a voice observes from behind. It crawls over Willow’s skin and settles itself in her abdomen. It pins her in place.

Willow hadn't meant for Michelle to find her in such a compromised state. Fuck, Michelle wasn't even supposed to be home yet, it's far too early in the afternoon, if the sunlight creeping through the cracked window near the ceiling is anything to go by, far too fucking early for Michelle to be standing behind her with a smug grin plastered to her face.
OR
The one where Willow finds a way to pass her time on the washing machine while Michelle is away at work, not knowing she has come back home early.

Summary
When Will was ten-years-old, he knew the rules of his house without anyone ever sitting him down to explain them. When the front door closed too hard, or when the beer cans stacked up too high, Will understood how he was supposed to act. Like he was invisible.
Pre–Season One, Will Byers learns how to stay invisible in a house ruled by his father Lonnie’s moods, even though Jonathan tries to take the worst of it. Thankfully, Will finds brief safety at school with his friends, especially his best friend Mike, where life feels lighter and more predictable. But as Lonnie stays home longer and his behaviour escalates, the cracks begin to show, and Mike begins to wonder how he can help his friend out in what could be a very bad home situation.
