Summary
Many Arcane fic writers are not League of Legends players, the video game that the show is based on, so I put together this primer to help writers create canon-compliant works. It includes: character ages, the show's timeline, characters' in-game bios (with commentary about their connection to Arcane), an overview of the Piltover/Zaun conflict, brief descriptions of the surrounding regions, and detailed descriptions of Piltover/Zaun's layout and geography.
To do: world timeline, local religion(s), species, magic
Now with visual aids to help spark inspiration! There's maps of both Piltover/Zaun, their denizens and the technology they created, and some glimpses into the world around them. (Best viewed on desktop, as they're quite large.)
(I apologize for clogging the tags; I'm trying to get this to as many writers and potential writers as possible.)

She's in the palm of his hand but it's eyes she can't look away from. Ravenous, greedy and delighted, even slightly pitying. As if it's perfectly understandable for her to be here, like this, in this state. As if it wasn't a surprise truly to find her here in the pantry after the pavlova course with her hand up her own skirt.

'You don't want to know how I see you,' he says with a dark smile. His eyes roam her face, his jaw tightens.
'Why?' she presses.
'Because,' he says, his hand sliding to cup the back of her neck, 'you won't forgive me for the thoughts I have about you. Because,' he murmurs, leaning closer so she can feel his breath across her cheek, 'it's not right. You could be my daughter.'
'But I'm not,' she says, swallowing as she feels the stroke of his thumb across her skin.

Summary
She’d seen the degradation of watching a man fight for his life, the insatiable greed of those in the audience cheering it on. Women of high culture and class, women like the row that Galadriel finds herself in, are supposed to be above such carnage, weaned away from violence at a tender age in deference to their omega sensibilities.
But the man across the cage from her, a man that stands alone, studying her under a hood of soiled bangs, an unkempt mess of auburn hair rendered nearly black under all the grime. He’s covered in absolute filth, an iron collar around his neck linking him to a chained post nearby. He’s — tall, perhaps taller than any of the other alphas there. Built deceptively strong and unassumingly dressed in a dark blue linen shirt that looks like it’s seen better days. Torn and threadbare at the edges, he looks squalid, like he hasn’t seen a bath in weeks. He should be the farthest thing to draw her attention or attraction.
But his eyes hold hers without flinching when he stares at her, and Galadriel can't look away.
