Summary

“But you must eat, or you’ll fall ill. Come and have some porridge.”

“How can you mistreat him so, shixiong?” Mu Qingfang asked one night, during a late visit to the bamboo house. “Yuan’er is the very picture of his mother. He is all you have left of her, and yet—”
“His resemblance to his mother is the only reason I did not snap his neck in the cradle,” Shen Qingqiu growled. “He has his father’s eyes, and I look upon them every day and care for the child regardless. Is that not enough?”
In the side room, Shen Yuan crept over to the mirror and stared at his reflection. He knew that he looked like his deceased mother, and that the two of them could have passed for twins if she were still alive. He knew, too, that he had his father’s eyes: deep and black as a starless night, and narrowed in perpetual discontent.
If Shen Yuan were truly Shen Qingqiu’s son, he would have hated those queer black eyes, just as Shen Qingqiu did. But as a transmigrated college student from the twenty-first century, he had never cared about Shen Qingqiu's opinions, much less considered him his father.
Or: in his twenty-first year in the world of Proud Immortal Demon Way, Shen Yuan runs away, falls in love, and reunites with his mother.

Summary
Lan Wangji had been missing for nearly five months when Lan Xichen arranged his marriage to Wei Wuxian.
The thing was done as well as two war-weary clans could manage, though no one apart from Lan Xichen and Jiang Yanli were party to the arrangements. A pair of paper effigies took the place of the deceased bridegrooms, and a spare tent—hastily vacated by a pair of Jiang Yanli’s shidis, who took up residence with a shixiong for the evening—served as their nuptial chamber; and when the rites were over, Wei Wuxian’s memorial tablet was sent back to rest in the Cloud Recesses’ grand ancestral hall.

Summary
Shen Yuan’s new body was that of a Heart’s Truth Viper Demon, a name so artlessly literal it made Shen Yuan want to spit blood. His bite had different effects based on what he was feeling—like a mood ring, but for murder—but he mostly just used his anger at how PIDW ended to hunt deer and protect the village nearby. That all changes when he accidentally catches the cultivation world's attention and ends up in one of Huan Hua's venom farms, but he's determined to wait for Binghe's rising star rather than try to escape. Somehow he does catch the young Demon Emperor's attention, but much more quickly and intensely than he planned...
Or,
Shen Yuan gets stuck in a box the entire time Binghe is in the Abyss, then immediately gives away that he knows too much when they finally meet. The relationship that develops is, of course, obsessive on both ends.

Summary
The world swims. White porcelain curves into view, warped by his unfocused vision. The smooth edge of a bathtub presses cold and unforgiving against his spine. He’s lying half inside it, twisted awkwardly, one shoulder jammed against the drain. The bathroom light above is on, glaring down at him without mercy.
“…gh,” Wei Wuxian manages.
His throat feels raw, scraped hollow.
He tries to sit up. The room tilts violently, and he slumps back with a sharp breath, clutching his head with both hands now as if he can hold it together through sheer will. Something is very, very wrong. His thoughts slide away from him, refusing to line up properly. There are gaps- huge ones- where memory should be.
He swallows. The taste in his mouth makes his stomach turn. Bitter. Metallic.
Blood.

Wei Wuxian, on one random day, receives his inheritance and turns into a vampire. Lan Wangji, consequently, offers his wrist, although having no idea what has happened to his beloved.
Jiang Fengmian, good uncle that he is, explains a few things to Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian.
Wei Changze certainly was one mysterious man indeed.
