Johnny – just a little older and a little taller – snarky words and mocking tone as the image he tried to go with around the neighborhood will always give up everything for the sweet Mark Lee who only has his beautiful smile and polite behavior getting him away from trouble.

It's natural, a normal gesture between bros - as much as it pained him to admit it. Mark was smiling throughout the whole song and thanking him for recommending it to him. Right, there's nothing strange about it, they do it all the time so it's not supposed to be some sort of special.

This hadn't started in Miami- hell it wasn't something that started in 2026, George had spent his whole life fighting against his body’s needs. When he was a child he remembers being sent to bed without dinner for speaking out of turn or not behaving, how the hunger motivated him to be better. When he started karting he learned that a lighter driver meant a faster car, and he was already tall for his age.

Summary
George knows how to fight with Max.
He knows the shape of it by now. The sharp comments, the steward visits, the wheel-to-wheel fights that follow them off track and into every press pen willing to listen.
What he does not know is how to handle Max being calm. Max seeing too much. Max refusing to turn away when George’s control starts to crack.
After Miami, George tells himself it was only another racing incident.
Then he watches Max race at the Nürburgring, and an accidental meeting in Monaco makes pretending even harder.
By Canada, where everything seems to be falling apart completely, George is no longer sure he wants to keep pretending that the thing between them is only rivalry.
