He feels his flair coming back, confidence rising every time the spectators cheer for him and chant his name. He feels like a ballet dancer, smooth and elegant on the court. After an entire season of drought, he’s a Grand Slam champion again. He smiles so widely his cheeks start to hurt and he buries his face in his hands, feeling a bit choked up.
Jannik engulfs him in a hug. “You were incredible. Artista. So beautiful.” Carlos hugs him tighter in response.
