“Happy birthday, Ajax,” Zhongli murmurs, tucking Childe’s hair behind his ear. Childe flushes as he realizes, oh, shit, he’s a year older, and he forgot it for about eleven hours and twenty two minutes of his birthday.
He doesn’t remember being that forgetful last year; he grins bashfully, feeling Zhongli's amused exhale against his lips, as the tips of his ears and his cheeks glow red.
"Oh," he manages, taking his hands off Zhongli's face to cover the flush blooming on his own. What a way to go. "I think I forgot what date it was."

Turning around, he smiles lazily; Miles Edgeworth lies there beside him, one arm curled under a pillow, the other wrapped childishly around Phoenix. Laughing quietly, Phoenix scoots closer to the prosecutor, bringing his hand up to stroke the light gray hair falling into the latter's face. Miles opens one eye, gazes at Phoenix for half a second, then sniffs, tipping his head into the crook of Phoenix's neck.

The barista turned around suddenly, and Miles' eyes widened. He felt his face getting warm.

Pretty? Attractive? Miles felt his cheeks getting redder by the minute. The barista was looking at him with a confused, if not amused, expression, which made Miles even more flustered and incoherent. Clearing his throat again, he looked away from the other man's face, embarrassment engulfing his entire being. The former grinned and pulled out his earphones, leaning slightly over the counter.
"May I take your order?"

Summary
It was just a lamp. Clark bought it at a yard sale for three dollars, to give Bruce as a present when he had no money for anything else. The stained glass flower design looks ridiculously out of place in the Batcave. Bruce should have gotten rid of it years ago.
But times change, and Clark and the primrose lamp become constants of Bruce's world.
Until the light goes out, and the world forces him to let go.
