Eita blinks, and then shrugs. “Nah. It's nothing. I just don't think I wanna post anything.” He clicks off the phone, shoving it into his jeans with a dramatic sigh. “Guess no one else gets to know how scared you were to hold a starfish.”
“It ain't nobody else's business,” Tabito grumbles. He thinks of the photos he took today as well, of the matching charm dangling on the keyring clipped to his bag. Neither of them are big on public displays of affection– or at least, he'd thought they weren't. It just wasn't smart. Self-preservation, and all that.
… Damn. What’s he even trying to prove? He went to an aquarium for this guy. And the first time Tabito kissed him was at work, for crying out loud. Self-preservation took a vacation whenever Eita was concerned, and Tabito paid for the plane ticket every damn time.

Six months into their relationship, Karasu starts noticing new things about Otoya– and about himself as well.

“Eita, listen to me.” Karasu began, stepping into the kitchen where his husband was already checking the fridge with childlike insistence, while holding in his hand a sheet of paper with the list of things he needed.
Otoya stuck his face out from inside the fridge and looked at his husband.
“I know we always go grocery shopping together.” Karasu continued, handing the sheet over to the albino so he could take a look and keep it as a reference. “But today I really need you to go alone to the supermarket. On the sheet I already wrote down explicitly the things we need, just the basics: milk, bread, eggs, rice, chicken, vegetables, and one pack of coffee, ONLY that.”
“Yes, Tabito, I’ll bring you only what’s written on the list, I promise.” Otoya nodded with all the calm in the world, staring at the paper as if it had some impossible math operation written on it.
“I’m serious, Eita, this is important.” The raven looked at him with suspicion. “Today there’s not enough budget for weird cravings or unnecessary whims, okay?”
“Loud and clear, my captain.”

Next to him, Karasu stilled. Otoya was almost worried before he barked out a laugh.
“That won’t be a problem,” before Otoya could fire off a remark, he continued, “yer not my type anyway.”
Otoya blinked. Karasu continued eating like this wasn’t the most monumental moment of his best friend’s life.
