In hindsight, following the Waitress to the bathroom was a stupid idea.
Dee knew that the Waitress was horny- she had literally said it out loud. Multiple times. But Dee had thought she was over it and wanted to do the Boggs thing instead. She thought the whole "come with me to the bathroom" routine was just one of those weird things women did. That’s a thing, right?
Most women probably don’t invite each other to the bathroom in order to hump, though.

Near wants to understand the Universe.
The universe in every sense.
The universe as in, the totality of all space, time, matter, and energy.
And the universe as in the omnipotent, conscious entity that orchestrates all of existence.
None of it is helpful though. None of it explains why this great, omnipotent force they dub The Universe has done what it has done to him.
Why, in a macrocosm of people and possibilities, is it Mello that he feels these feelings for? What evolutionary or cosmic or psychic justification is there behind that?
