Summary
I though I'd share the backstories of the mental and physical scars my CoD OC has gained since I'm totally not hyperfixated on him.
This work will likely consist of different stories of things that have happened to Tranq, each story will be one chapter (unless specified that it's not) and tags will be updated with each new chapter. If you don't know ANYTHING about Austin, here's a page of information on him to get cleared up on who he is (you're not obligated to read this though everything in this fic will make a lot more sense):

Summary
“Sir? Can I help you find anything?”
Ghost bites back a comment and reminds himself to smile at the sales clerk so that his eyes at least look friendly. He’s wearing his black cloth medical mask—he’s learned through past experience that he’s less likely to get the cops called on him if he doesn’t look like he’s about to rob the place, but the downside is that sales clerks don’t seem to be able to leave him alone, because apparently the medical mask makes him look ‘approachable.’ That’s okay, though. The clerk seems nice, and she just wants to help. And that is something Ghost is in woeful need of right about now.
He is standing in the home goods section of the local Tesco, trying to pick out a new blanket for Soap.
-or- Ghost embarks on a mission to procure a tactical comfort blanket for Soap, and gets more than he bargained for.

Summary
“I’ll go to him” Ghost said eventually. “I'm not one for emotional support, however, John”
“I need you to,” Price replied. “He listens to you. You don’t bullshit him, and he doesn’t feel like he has to prove anything to you. You don’t need to fix it. Just... let him breathe.”
Ghost didn’t move at first. He let the words settle.
Then he stood.
Or
After a mission goes wrong, Soap returns to base carrying more than just blood on his hands. Price sends Ghost to find him. Ghost isn't good with comfort, but for Johnny... he'll try.
A story about grief, guilt, and the kind of trust that doesn’t need words.

Summary
“You offer everyone your half-sucked cigarettes?”
“You’re special, apparently.”
Simon didn’t question it. Just took the cigarette, their fingers brushing as he brought it to his lips.
John couldn’t help but stare. There was a scar on Simon’s lip—faint, healed. It didn’t surprise him.
It felt like he already knew it was there.
Like it made sense.
OR
John MacTavish's life was in tatters after an injury that nearly killed him. Alone and hollow, he tries to rebuild himself—taking a quiet job at a tattoo shop, keeping his head down, and surviving day by day.
That is, until Simon Riley walks in.
A client with scars and a presence that stirs something deep in his chest—along with memories that were meant to stay buried. Memories of who he really was, and everything they tried to make him forget.
