Summary
“She knew the stories of what could happen, the stories of the Flame Alchemist, even in Resembool everyone knew the stories. A soldier who had burned down cities, killed hundreds, maybe even thousands of children. It has barely been a few months since the newest order was issued, but unlike the rest of the war, news of the Flame spread fast. A murderer, a monster, a killer. Since the order Trisha took it to try to make Al look more Amestrian, Ed was okay in terms of passing, not the best but he only held one identifiable feature. Al was much more easily recognized— ruby eyes bearing into anyone who saw him. While Resembool would cover for them, Amestris wouldn’t. Most importantly Trisha hoped her boys would never meet the Flame Alchemist.”
Edward still joins the military, Al is still a suit of armour, it’s seemingly the same as it is. But something is different. Their pasts merge together with the pasts of those in the military, each experiencing the same events, their pasts interconnected.

Summary
Aizawa is given a case directly from Hawks that concerns some sort of witchcraft. He was not given too much but apparently there's a kid involved and he's not allowed to contact the commission. Upon further investigation, he discovers truly horrifying things and he knows he can't do it alone. Nedzu gets involved and helps to point him in the right direction.
Meanwhile in Amestris, Edward Elric has been missing for a month and with no leads available Mustang is forced to make a decision on whether or not to declare him as dead. Everyone that is able has been searching but without any leads they're starting to lose hope. That is until they get a certain letter from a certain school in Japan.
Together they will investigate the potential threats. Everything is on the line here and Mustang can only hope that he makes it on time.

Edward froze. Slipping his head out from Hohenheim's grasp, he stared into the sun, eyes adjusting to the figure on the balcony. It had Hohenheim's face. And as his father recoiled, asking if that man was the homunculus in the flask, all he could see was that Al's murderer bore the appearance of the only family he had left.
"What have you done?"
"You gave me blood. In return, I gave you knowledge and freedom; now I've given you a body that will live forever."
OR, Edward is born in 1488, and when Father attempts to immortalize Van Hohenheim, Edward is caught up in the circle. Newly immortal, the only family he has left is a man he's grown to resent and his brother's soul, trapped within his chest. Over the course of four hundred years, Edward fights to separate the souls in the stone, because there isn't a world where he won't give up everything for Alphonse.

For an articulate man, Roy Mustang suddenly struggled to find the correct words.
Every variation the Colonel concocted within his head sounded flimsy, harsh, or downright wrong. Unsettled and sick, the silence stretched between them for a handful of heart-clenching beats as suspicious golden eyes narrowed, continuing to sear into Roy's soul. Realization reared its ugly head and delved a hand right into his chest, poisonous claws digging deep as it whispered odious remarks. He stared at the boy before him, feeling as if he was seeing him for the first time, an entire week's worth of denial crumbling away.
This couldn't be happening, but it was. It was happening, and he had been willfully blind to it like a pathetic coward. He'd chalked the flush of fever as something as simple as a cold. The same applied to the presumption of mood swings linked to age. Even the odd habits Roy had brushed off as quirks or stress...
Never once did Roy think something more malicious had been at play, until now.
"Edward I don t think you are very well right now."
