She sighs and starts gathering up her stuff spread out on the stage. When she stands up, Michaela is standing beside her. “Oh,” she says, a little surprised. “Hi…good job.”
“Thank you.” Michaela grins. “How are you doing? What’s our set going to look like?”
“Well, that’s not really, entirely…my job,” Francesca stutters. “It’s up to the director, and I’m really looking at what cues will look like during the actual show…” She realizes Michaela probably doesn’t care, but she is grateful to come to that conclusion on her own and not because Michaela cut her off. “I’m doing fine.”
Michaela stands there, fidgeting with her hands for a moment. “John told me you’re worried that I don’t like you?”
“Oh,” Francesca sputters again.

Summary
Kara didn’t answer, her eyes slipping shut. Her breathing remained heavy between the two of them. Lena was almost entranced. Kara felt the hands on her face even hotter and heavier than she usually would. She opened her eyes to see Lena watching her like she was something to be studied as well as admired.
Kara’s thoughts were knocked aside as the kryptonite continued taking its toll. She fell back on her hands, teeth clenched together as she groaned. Lena moved to get closer. She watched Kara’s veins become even more pronounced. Not just glowing but becoming visible the way they usually do when Kara is breathing heavily. Not that Lena’s watching. She almost wanted to lean down and bite her neck, see if she could draw out the kryptonite, draw out blood.
The thought turned her own breathing shallow, picturing Kara’s skin bursting under Lena’s sharp gentleness. It’s not like that would be possible on a typical Kara, unaffected by kryptonite. Kara looked up at her and Lena almost shivered.

Summary
“So, you’re not telling Jackie, huh?”
Shauna freezes, back in her thoughts. Jackie can’t know, she’d worry too much, tell Shauna to stop. She wouldn’t get it, not like Tai might, and she definitely wouldn’t leave it alone like Tai might. She’d be mad that Shauna was doing something larger than her, and without her at that.
But Shauna knows that she would also worry. She would watch that action and she’d hate it, hate watching Shauna like that. Shauna was always the one to clean Jackie’s scraped knees, Jackie hated the sight of blood or bruises but when it became needed, she got over it. Makes sense for someone playing a contact sport. But that worry is there whenever Shauna gets tripped during a game or falls at practice.
“Would you tell Van?” Shauna answers, meeting Taissa’s gaze.
Shauna watches Tai think and so badly wants to see what’s going through her head. After a little bit, Tai nods and Shauna swallows.
“I would,” Tai starts slowly. “But that’s different from you and Jackie.”
