“Sergeant Barnes,” Coulson said as he stepped beside him, gesturing for Bucky to follow. Stark had already disappeared.
“I understand that in your timeline, J.A.R.V.I.S. was consumed by Ultron. But things are a bit different here. During the Chitauri invasion of New York, Loki’s scepter was missing—along with Captain Rogers, both ended up in the hands of Thanos. The Avengers never obtained the Mind Stone. As a result, there was no Ultron. And Vision—he never came to exist.”
Bucky pressed his lips together as a sharp pain caught him off guard in his chest, his fingers instinctively curling into a fist. He followed Coulson down from the platform and asked,
“But if you’re counting on me to approach Steve… that means you’ve already found him, haven’t you?”
