"Is everyone there?"
Ragatha smiled knowingly. "Well, they would be, if you attended."
Her cheeks blazed, and she wisely chose to angle her head away then. Pomni was briefly haunted by the tone of that. Was he waiting for her to show up, interest determined by her presence?
She just nodded.
Lady Pomni had difficulties with things unpredictable. Which is why she was pursuing Jax, of all people, at an impromptu party hosted by her fellow nobles.
Being clear about your intent is good, sometimes.

He tried to put the Circus behind him, but he eventually missed being able to complain about Caine's adventures without people looking at him like he's crazy. He was shopping, a few months after he woke up, and sees a woman who looked like Pomni. But it can't be her, right?

The type to care very little about a proper sleep schedule, the type to think only slightly of how many hours he needed in the night to get through the next day. He seemed like that sort of person after all. When they'd escaped the circus, she assumed it'd go back to such.
Seeing him now, barely remaining awake beside her with a hand laced in hers— she feels a little silly that she was so wrong.
Some late-night thinking on Pomni's end with a sleepy Jax by her side.

Pomni is a twenty-five-year-old accountant for one of the largest tech corportations in the country, Caine and Abel, and she fucking HATES it.
Not only did she have to spend every day in a shitty, stuffy office cubicle, with those stupid, blue fluorescent lights buzzing obnoxiously overhead. She had to spend every day surrounded by snotty elites and peers who she might as well be invisible around! She could have spent her college years getting a degree in Film-making, stoking her creative flame and following her passion, but noooo, she chose one of the most boring majors she could have imagined for the sake of financial stability- AND SHE WASN'T EVEN GETTING PAID WELL!
Pomni found her thrills in unlikely places- such as abandoned buildings that were questionably a) haunted, b) had dead bodies, c) had aggressive vagrants, or a fun secret option of all three. And, of course, it only made sense she recorded these adventures and uploaded them on the internet- not for anyone but herself, of course, but one of these adventures goes horribly awry when a young carpenter finds her trespassing on a recently bought property.
Little does Pomni know this chance meeting will change everything..
