For 500 years, Aether was completely focused on orchestrating the fall of Celestia, so much so that he never quite questioned what would come after. Wants to test himself against the edge of him and figure out who would come out on top. Disturbingly, he doesn't care about being the winner. He'd like to, of course, prideful as he is, but at the end of the day, he'd gladly end up under Yusuke Urameshi if he earned it. And oh, Kurama knows he would. Summary
Yusuke always prided himself in being able to figure a person out, but the longer he knows Kurama the more he realizes that he still has a lot more to learn. (Bonus: By the time Kurama crossed paths with a certain Spirit Detective, he thought he had learned everything there was to know about human nature. Apparently he was wrong.)
Just a series of snapshot stories that delve into to constantly evolving relationship between Yusuke and Kurama. Their dynamic always interested me and I wanted more stories that focused on them. This can be read as platonic or more of a pairing, mainly because I have trouble pinning down the exact nature of their relationship myself. Either way, I love it and I hope you will too!

Running in a crowd,
In a faceless town,
I need to feel the touch of a friend.
In the countryside,
I wander far and wide.
The isolation gets me again.Anger is familiar enough to Yusuke. The way it curls in his gut, boiling over into an unpleasant heat. The way it echoes through his skin, out towards his fingertips, making him itch for a fight.
Fighting will at least give him relief from it all. The fury fades away into satisfaction as he feels the skin on his knuckles give way, as another fist hits his face or stomach, giving him something to feel besides the constant prick of his anger, sitting right under the skin.
A good fight has always been an escape; it’s only when a fight is something lame or he can’t find one that the anger dogs his every step without an outlet.
One night, Yusuke, angry and alone, finds his way to Kurama's place.
