“I’ll get back to you with the precise badness evaluation when I’ve finished analysing it,” Armand huffs, throwing the covers over himself and sliding lower, until all that’s left is a mop of dark curls peeking out.
“I’m sure you will. I love you, you freak.”
“I love you too.”
Or: due to a scheduling conflict, Daniel and Armand have to spend a few weeks apart, and they both proceed to be Completely Normal about it.

“Are you always so preoccupied with the proximity of my hands to your dick?” Mydei asks. Phainon makes the same sort of sound you’d hear from a wet cat. Mydei choses to ignore it. “I’m not going to touch you anywhere but your leg.”

Jayce’s eyes snap to him, and Viktor almost gasps. There’s something wrong. Well, obviously, your lab partner’s just been regurgitated from a roiling ball of energy with a beard and a massive fuck-off hammer, thank you for the observation, Viktor - but there’s something wrong with Jayce, with his eyes. He looks crazed. He looks horrified, and all the more horrified the longer he stares.
“No,” Jayce breathes. He staggers forward, catching himself with his hammer. “No. No, no, no, it can’t be you. He didn’t mean- no.”
Viktor holds out a hand like he’s soothing a feral cat. “Are you alright? I can help you. Just- just let me stand.”
He picks up his cane, leveraging himself from the ground. Jayce keeps trembling.
“Not you, that’s not- that’s not what he said, not you, I can’t kill you.”

Summary
Lukai Hwei had a problem, a problem that seemed paradoxical in itself. Out of thin air, a man appeared in his home temple -- Khada Jhin -- who felt too good to be true. Everything the man spoke of about art and creation lit a fire deep in Hwei's being, no matter how grim his outlook may have been. He juxtaposed Hwei's masters he grew to hate so perfectly, poking holes in logic he was forced to practice all his life. In every sense of the word, this inspired something in Hwei; he drove him to create genuinely, to truly explore the depths of his mind no matter the consequences.
So why now was Khada Jhin the exact reason he couldn't create at all?
