Summary
Instead of Lottie and Natalie competing for food, Natalie forces herself to take Lottie hunting with her. (Did she really though?)
She hates it. She hates that the girl allows it because it is feeding into all of these delusions that she caused, which fucks them all over. It gives everybody this false hope that will eventually be ripped right out of them and cause more pain.
“Fuck it. Fine. You all truly believe Lottie can make all these beautiful wonders happen, then she can come hunt with me for now on. Her and her beautiful fucking blessings will solve everything and make us find enough meat to keep us up until spring. That’s what you wanted, huh?”

She wasn't even supposed to be here. Professor Matthews teaches Religion and Human Sexuality, and Nat found out she's missing a couple credits to graduate right before spring semester kicked off, and couldn't fit any other class into her schedule.
Nat’s never even been to church. Not once. She knows a thing or two about human sexuality, though, and she’s guessing a random social science elective can’t be that hard, right? Turns out it's harder than you'd think when your professor looks like that and makes you want to do all kinds of unholy things.
