Summary
Henry has lived in the winter town around Winterfell his entire life as a peaceful summer stretches long and winter becomes a distant memory. But when raiders attack his home, he finds that the life he has known is quickly spoiled by violence and blood. As war blows to the shores of Westeros and Winter once again encircles the country in her cruel hand, Henry finds he must forego the comforts of his youth and pick up the sword.
(Or alternatively: A retelling of Kingdom Come Deliverance in the setting of A Song of Ice and Fire.)

AU - Henry dies in his duel against Erik
Hans could admit it here, where no one stood ready to prod his dignity for weakness: he missed Henry. Missed him with the helpless ache of a child left alone in an unfamiliar place. Three moonfulls since, grief had made its den of him; lingering where it pleased and inventive as ever in finding new ways to make him feel the fool.
Hans can’t let go. Erik brings back the sword and asks for the noose.
