He keeps it in his pocket, as he fights through the maze of the Final Task. It has saved his life before, he hopes it might again.
But he has not hid it enough. Peter Pettigrew finds it, and under his master’s orders, he adds it to the Resurrection Potion.

On the 4th of March 2007, Magical Britain ceases to exist.Desperate to undo the damage, Harry travels back in time to prevent Voldemort's demise.
Only, things don't quite work out as intended, as he ends up being reborn in a world not entirely like his own with a tattoo of a red eye on the back of his hand.
