Sweetest nectar, aged with longing by TenkeyLess for constellarium

Summary
When the pixies came to fetch Urianger, giggling at their latest prank, the most he expects is another hapless leafman decorating the flower fields outside Il Mheg. Mayhaps a tree'd fuath or glamoured no mou, if they were feeling particularly daring.
Therefore, the predicament laid before him takes him entirely by surprise.
When the WoL drinks the nectar of an echevore's tail and is sent into an unexpected heat, a long-yearning Urianger stands ready to write the runes that will offer her relief - having experienced the same himself, once before. What he does not account for is her equally hidden pining setting off a conflagration that would see them both consumed.

Summary
In the wake of war, Miyako wanders far from home—her heart burdened by loss, her nights haunted by memories. A self-proclaimed princess of moonlight, she devotes herself to easing the sorrows of others, neglecting the wounds she hides beneath her quiet grace. But when she meets Urianger, a scholar who speaks in stars and silence, something stirs within her. Against the backdrop of celestial wonder and whispered dreams, a story begins—of healing, longing, and the unexpected light that lingers even in the darkest skies. She is the moon. He, the stars. And in that endless sky, their paths were always meant to cross.

Summary
“I placed my faith in you. Let myself believe that you could contain the Light.” His voice cracks, shards sinking to you. You tear your gaze from him. He placed his faith in you, yes. More fiercely than anyone. Zealously even. And you’ve eased yourself into his embrace. You’ve carved an altar there. You’ve reached for his soul even though it burned. Knowing it will end badly. Knowing you will disappoint him yet again. Knowing you will undo his plans. Knowing you will break him (again).
And he will not recover.

Fool's Mate is the fastest checkmating pattern that can occur in chess and can happen after just two moves. It is possible to achieve it only if White makes terrible opening mistakes, and that is why people call it Fool's Mate.Bookmarked by sinclairspirits

Summary
She wants to taste. Every fruit, from the lip-puckeringly sour to the cloyingly sweet. Every bite that life has to offer. Fatty meats that drip with juices, crisp salads, indulgent appetizers, the sting and warmth of fine wines. She wants to gorge herself on it all, consume it all. She wants to drape herself in jewels she doesn’t need, clothes that make people whisper, and then turn around and kiss, touch, bite, and maybe lick anyone she damn well pleases.
Or: Rook decides it’s about time Emmrich sleeps with her.

“Manfred has remarkably fine motor control in many things, but his skill with a straight razor leaves much to be desired for those who wish to remain among the living.”
Emmrich reached up for the hand towel tucked protectively around his collar, accepting defeat, but before he could loosen it, Rook strode forward and plucked up said razor from the desktop.
“Well then, allow me to do the honors,” she offered, unfolding the blade with a decisive flick of her wrist. “Just…try not to fidget. I’m not used to shaving people who can move.”
(Emmrich’s straight razor shave gets surprisingly intimate. Feelings ensue.)

Summary
"You spoke of the cycle of life and death. If that holds true, if there is something beyond these mortal chains, then I hope we will meet again. Under different faces, different names, perhaps. You said our souls would know one another. In that case…
I hope to meet you by the sea.”
Or: A young soldier seizes what she wants, and dives eyes wide open into the slow choking of the people she loves. An ancient soul crawls upon the earth, and corrupts all he embraces. Nations rise, and fall, and rot.

Summary
When Emmrich reaches the chair he makes a show of settling into it, making himself comfortable, pretending he cannot see Rook's eyes hungrily tracking every motion, however slight. Then, once he has settled - and only then - Emmrich looks up to meet their eyes, and pets his lap. “Do take a seat, my dear,” he murmurs.
Emmrich finds out about a hole in Rook's romantic experience regarding kissing, and sets about to correct this - and maybe give them a reward, if they learn the lesson well enough...
(The working title for this document was "putting the Neck Romance into necromancer", if that helps.)

Summary
The hour was late, and the thought of disturbing her nagged with apprehension. Surely she didn't require his company, nor his consolation, when she had such a treasured, sororal bond with Neve. Yet he found himself taking the long walk down the corridor to her quarters nonetheless.
'Perhaps reminiscing of home will offer a welcome distraction, if only for a short while.' He assured himself. 'A comfort that I am uniquely disposed to provide.'
All thoughts of Nevarran eccentricities and their hopeful nostalgia halted as he arrived at her door. It greeted him with an alarming sound.

~*~
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Summary
END OF ACT ONE SPOILERS AHEAD
Weisshaupt leaves Clio de Riva with a serious injury she is determined to treat on her own, away from the prying eyes of her companions that she is sure she failed. Emmrich is horrified to discover the less-than-optimal surgical practices of the Crows as well as the amount of guilt Clio has heaped on her own head. A fight ensues; things are left unsaid, both bereft of closure.
“There,” Emmrich’s voice filtered lyrically into her ears as the room returned to her. “Breathe... that’s it.”
She became aware of his hand cradling her head, his arm crossed over her chest, keeping her steady as he soothed the wound site on her back with cooling magic. It was safe, it was solid; she grasped his arm tightly, afraid he would take it from her. A nameless fear and a familiar dread both simultaneously worked into her consciousness—Crows take care of themselves. But the ease of being held was too much for them and after a moment she didn’t care anymore, falling bodily into his touch, breathing easier as the pain crested and fell.
It was warmth, it was relief, it was good; she closed her eyes and dove headfirst into it.

Summary
His grip fell from her wrist - warm, ungloved hands coming to rest either side of her face, long fingers twining through her dark hair. His voice softened to a coo, more coercive and coaxing than it was kind.
“Yes, that’s it my dear—that’s it! One little word - one word and then I’ll know…”
She inhaled sharply, squeezing her eyes shut, and did not pull away, feet rooted to the tiled floor below.
“Come now, little echo,” his curved nose brushed against hers gently—sweet and menacing all at once. “Speak! Prove to me this one, small thing.”
After Emet Selch brings her friend back from the dead, the Warrior of Darkness is deeply moved, compelling her to stay behind a few moments as everyone else departs. What follows isn’t what she is anticipating and slowly but surely he unlocks a trove of secrets inside her that she does not remember burying…
