For all the Watcher’s… passive proclivities, it’s old. Very old. And demanding of what it wants. Something you’re beginning to understand.”
Jon soldiers on through another wave of nausea. “A-and Elias? You’re going to run this idea of yours through him?”
“Pet, that’s going to be half the fun of this." Peter smirks delightedly. "Elias doesn’t get a say in this. He only gets to watch.”

Instead Jon wants to snap because if Elias didn’t want to see the consequences of his actions reverberate throughout universes, perhaps he should have thought about it before ending the world once — that they know of. For all Jon and he know, there are endless Jonah Magnuses somewhere else who have decided to follow the step of their mirror selves, persuaded to know and do better next time. But that’s not fair to Jon’s Elias, is it? Because this Elias is choosing differently. Has chosen differently. This Elias is right here, with him, worried that Jon is not sleeping anymore.
Somewhere Else, Jon and Elias try to navigate through the memories of another world; another life. Both of them are very keen on not walking the same path as their counterparts. Both of them struggle with the temptation of fate anyway.
