Summary
Hans choked out a laugh as he took in his dear friend’s bashful expression and the urgency there, the red tips of his ears. Thank God for Henry, always saving him in his time of need.
“If you recall,” Hans said. “I didn’t just pay for myself, Hal. I bought her for you, too.”
(Set between KCD1 & KCD2. An intense shared experience at a bathhouse reveals more about their relationship than Henry or Hans could've accounted for.)

Hans never liked sharing. It just didn’t come naturally to him. Ownership did, and dominion, and defending what was his, by blade and blood. As lords were meant to do. He didn’t like asking for help, either. Or asking for anything. Demanding, maybe. But not asking. Certainly not pleading. So when he’d found himself doing both — asking, and sharing — it forced him to consider just how strange a shape he’d contorted himself into.
Hans asks Black Bartosch for a lesson. Bartosch is a patient, hands-on teacher.

Or, when the heir to Rattay still can't sire a child one year into marriage, he comes begging for Henry's help. Henry thinks the task is simple, if insane: shoot a few loads in Jitka, then make like the wind so nobody suspects him.
Unfortunately for Hans, nothing is nearly ever so simple.
