“Regardless, your mentalism seems to have failed you, Mr. Gen. I assure you, Stanley and I are simply good friends.” Xeno looks over at Gen then, studying the way his legs are draped over Senku’s lap. His eyes find Gen and Senku’s intertwined hands.
Xeno nods approvingly at whatever he sees. “Not unlike you and Senku.”
Gen nearly chokes on his own spit.
The Kingdom of Science has certain assumptions regarding Xeno and Stanley's relationship. Too bad they've vastly overestimated the emotional intelligence of one Xeno Houston Wingfield.

Summary
When this absolute lunatic was your age, he got thrown into a juvenile holding cell because he built a literal, functioning railgun in his backyard and accidentally took out the neighbors tool shed.
Maybe bringing a bomb to a dodgeball game wasn't the best idea. But just what would an ten year old know?
Thankfully, Senku can always rely on Dr. X! A respected NASA scientist, brilliant engineer, and unquestionably responsible adult, to provide a mature and reasonable perspective.
