Summary
Jack was poised for a beautiful three-pointer when Jake spoke, "So, hey, what's it feel like to get fucked?"
The surprise of it scattered his focus for an instant, but figuring that was what Jake wanted, Jack let muscle memory pull him through, releasing the basketball—and getting nothing but net, fuck yeah.
Then he looked over at Jake and tipped his head, nonchalant. "Vulnerable."

Summary
Robby sagged a little, another tiny rush of air out. Jack pretended not to notice any of it even as it slid through him, his hypothesis gaining evidence, firming in his mind.
No, Jack didn't think anyone ever touched Robby.
He was going to change that.

“I’ve heard that word before, in stories, I think. If I remember correctly, they were a sort of higher power that would follow teams of adventurers on their quests.”
“Me, as well. They are said to exist in a plane outside our own, and as they follow, they have the power to influence events as the adventurers live through them.”
“What, and you think one of these—these creepy entities is stalking us?”
Matthew Mercer was tired. Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. He’d been getting headaches for the past week or so, and it was making it really difficult to sleep or plan the next session of Critical Role. He thought he could ignore it.
The Mighty Nein had simply been on their way to town to buy supplies. Nothing had seemed strange—not until they arrived to see everyone there frozen in place, as if some spell was cast on them. But there was no magic. They had to figure out what was going on. -

Summary
Vax’s smile goes so soft that Shaun has to break his gaze for a moment, not even realizing he’s doing it. He feels Vax’s hand, heartbreakingly gentle, come up to rest on his cheek. “I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable.” A pause. “Unless you want me to make you uncomfortable?”
There should be a twinkle in Vax’s eye as he says it, a knowing wink, but there isn’t, and the sincerity robs Shaun of his ability to respond. No one has pulled the rug out from under him like this in years — probably because he’s spent quite a bit of effort making sure no one can get close enough. It’s disorienting and a little scary, but it’s not painful.
